I just need to talk to God for a moment. I don't mind if you all listen in. I have been thinking about what worship is to me. And this list is just really for me and God but I wanted to share it. It is not pre-thought of or posted from somewhere else. Try it sometime!!!
My Worship to my father is.....
Amazing
Breathtaking
Confession
Direct
Everlasting
Freeing
Grand
Holy
Indescribable (sorry C. Tomlin)
Joyful
Kindness to Others
Loving the unlovable
Me singing TO YOU
Never about ME
Opulent, my greatest gift
Persistent
Quiet
Regular, a daily occurrence
Silence when it must be
Telling the world about what HE has done
Unnormal (I know it is not a word but hey it came to my mind so I wrote it)
Valiant effort, not perfect but a good try sometimes
Work for my father outside the church walls
eXuberant (HEY IT IS MY LIST)
Yours alone God
the Zenith of everything I am
I give you my ministry tonight father. Bless this group of people whom allow me to worship with them. Be with the Band and the singers and I as we lead as we have been called. Help me to get into you WORD more. Please lead me in my daily WORSHIP and my family life. And help me to step outside of my church and WORK for you!
Amen!

A Whisper of Worship
The night is a bit cooler than previous evenings. I can hear crickets right outside my window as they make a noise that the creator created them for. Each of us has within us the aptitude to worship. The problem is we cannot see what worship of the father is going on right beside us. Or in my case right outside my window. Those crickets make that noise and this lead worshiper realizes that my worship does not have to be all LOUD and out there. My worship can be just like those crickets I hear, it can be quiet and still be worshipful. There is WORSHIP in silence. I am just coming to realize that. So this week reader. Spend 5 min this week after your regular devotion time and don't say a thing. Just sit and soak GOD in. Before you start ask this question out loud: God what do you want to say to me today?

Searchers and Seekers
Are you seeking something? Are you searching for that THING (what ever the THING is) that will make you content? If so then this post if for you. How many times do we ask God to help us find the RIGHT path and he shows us the open road to HIS glory and we still decide to go down the path that might lead to our glory. I was reading during my quiet time and look at this.
The Israelites asked God to help them and of course God says no problem but look at what happened after he showed them the way to go.
(from the message, Jeremiah 6:16-21)
God's Message yet again:
"Go stand at the crossroads and look around. Ask for directions to the old road, The tried-and-true road. Then take it. Discover the right route for your souls. But they said, 'Nothing doing. We aren't going that way.' I even provided watchmen for them to warn them, to set off the alarm. But the people said, 'It's a false alarm. It doesn't concern us.' And so I'm calling in the nations as witnesses: 'Watch, witnesses, what happens to them!' And, 'Pay attention, Earth! Don't miss these bulletins.'
I'm visiting catastrophe on this people, the end result of the games they've been playing with me. They've ignored everything I've said, had nothing but contempt for my teaching. What would I want with incense brought in from Sheba, rare spices from exotic places? Your burnt sacrifices in worship give me no pleasure. Your religious rituals mean nothing to me."
21So listen to this. Here's God's verdict on your way of life:
"Watch out! I'm putting roadblocks and barriers on the road you're taking. They'll send you sprawling, parents and children, neighbors and friends— and that will be the end of the lot of you."
Man is that not us today. We say "God help me find the right path" and there is God with a HUGE sign saying GO THIS WAY. But even after asking we chose another way.
Guys, God knows what he is doing so the next time you see another road block come up in your life, stop and ask God "AM I SUPPOSED TO BE HERE"! Then the hard part, wait for an answer .
Have a great week!

The Time is Coming

Things have been going great for the worship and media ministry at Ebenezer. I believe we are truly worshiping more and more every sunday. Our band got to be a part of a service in which there were 8 baptisms and that is awsome. God is drawing our group so close together right now and my prayer is that it continues for us. We are currently seeking to give ourselves a name and begin sharing our music with other churches in our area. SO please pray for us that we allow God to lead in all that we do. Have a great week!

Prayer for Tomorrow

God,
You make us so different and so wonderful. Each of us with our own mind and ideas and talents but each of us also stamped into your mold. We are all made in the image of you yet not one of us in the same. You are an amazing God.
Thank you for the promise of Sunday. Thank you for the church where I will serve in just a few hours. Be with me and the praise band and praise team as we sing. Be with the speakers both morning and evening. Be with Josh and he shares with the church the vision for your ministry at EBC.
Thank you for all the blessings of this day and the unpromised tomorrow. Help me give you glory in al that I do this week and this day.
Yours,
I AM NOT

I am alive!!
Well a new year is here and things are so different since my last entry. Our church lost our youth pastor and we are now looking to hire a new guy. I am excited for the youth and for this new young guy as he begins his ministry. I also lost one of my vocalist and my drummer to circumstances that I could not control. I miss them dearly but I also understand that God is in all and THANK GOODNESS he is in control. The sunday after I lost those 2 members of my ministry God showed me 2 new people that could join us and make the group whole again, WELCOME JASON (new vocalist) and TYLER (new drummer).
January always begins a busy time for me. I am bivocational (work 2 jobs) and my OTHER job requires me to be away from my family and my church ministry for a lot of days. Please pray for me that I will have all the time i need to get all things done. I know that God will let me get everything HE wants done. It is just hard for me to let God have control sometimes, I know alot of you are that way also.
Anyway, have a great Sunday and GO TO CHURCH :-)
